Ever had this happen. You're out grabbing a shot of a passing train and sure enough, an emergency vehicle pulls up lights and siren going wanting to get over the tracks.

While I was out this morning a BNSF grain empty was moving through town very slowly on the siding and would soon be stopping to line a switch. Sure enough, just as the gates come down, the ambulance pulls up wanting to cross making all kinds of noice. The conductor's out the window trying to motion to them to turn around and head for another crossing. After a few seconds of them trying to figure out what's going on. I walked over, camera in hand, and let them know the train was about to stop and block this crossing for 5 or 10 minutes. I let them know what crossing he was clear of, they thanked me and were on their way.
I was in the right place at the right time! Ever had that happen?

Here's the train that was moving down the siding.
