ANTI"BUFF"? WHY?

I'm just curious..........it seems that railroaders have a resentment toward raifans, "buffs", "foamers", or whatever you want to call us. <br /> I don't understand why, exactly, that an individual seeking employment with a railroad who has a real interest in trains and railroading would actually have that count against him or her; in most other professions, job seekers who want a career for more than "just the money" have something of an "inside track" (pardon the pun)than the others who are only interested in the pay, benefits and perks.I also don't get you railroaders who seem to look down on us for actually ADMIRING what you guys do for a living! I've never had a job that anybody wanted except for the pay--I'd like to know how the other half lives, to be honest.
