Running concurrently, on this Forum is a Thread by fellow Poster Harrison; of his video and comments on the 2022 CPR's (American-edition) Christmas Train on visits, and stops, in New York State. Running on pre-merger, original CPR trackage; it is a real beauty.
Which brings me to another question: If and when, will we be able to see that promised "Grand Tour" of the Intercontinental, merged lines of the CPKCS ? I think it was approximately. 2 yeears back, aout when the 'merger between CPR and KCS/KCSdeM was announced. admiitedly, they had to face a lot of 'legal head-winds' at that point to get to finalazation.... But it seems to just about be a done-deal at this time.
IIRC, it was {CPR's Crporate president: Mr Keith Creel who promised a "Grand Tour" of the 'new' line. It also seemed to be that it would be pulled by CPs LAST STEAMER #2816; it would also include a executive train made up of CPR's executive fleet of rail cars.
THAT is a trip, I'd love to make to see it, in either, the KC area, or over at Pittsburg (Ks).
