We're back in the wild northlands of New York for some GP18 action! Some GEs pulling a large CSX freight are also seen.

Electroliner 1935

What's with the paint scheme on the CN engine in the middle? Primer? Agree on WS paint. Loved the PRR's tuscan red with the gold strips before they cheapend it and then went to PC.

It's the paint of former owner and leasing company Citirail. CN leased a few dozen of the units if I remember correctly, and ended up buying them outright. They have not been painted yet.

We're revisiting a short trip I took in October to the former Central Vermont in this video. Wisconsin Central, a sharp looking locomotive if I ever did see one!

Brings to mind days spent trackside at Kingston, beginning in 1974 when a group of us kids who were there on a school excursion took in the action trackside. And then periodically afterwards whenever I happened to be in the area. Fast and frequent trains then as now.

Better late than never- I'm finishing up my New England Railroading Series at long last. Here we're looking at the current VRS operations in the Champlain Valley.

It's just over a month after our visit to Ontario, and we're in Solvay, NY on the Finger Lakes Railway.
