Murphy Siding

The grammar and spelling are improving. Only 2 misspelled words in the title. New meds maybe?

Or reduced ETOH?

OP joined this month. Hmmmmm.....................maybe a couple of days ago, even?   Hmmmmm.........Gee...I
dunno.......

MO of a certain poster....

A certain poster who got a warning from Steve the other day?

Likely a poster that had been banned under a number of other ID's over the years.

Railway Hammer

Brotherhood Railway Carmen Division's general president R. A. Johnson had total compensation $416,435 in 2019. But he said that "I assure you, this Agreement provides far greater increases than the Carrier ever intended" in the Letter in August 29, 2022.

It should be noted that the website cited is for an anti-union group.

Jeff

ie. that Union Leaders get paid at all is against their thought patterns

"Official Business" of that amount sounds "fishy" to me.

Around here, some DOT supervisors (among others) get to take a state vehicle home so they can respond at a moment's notice.  They have to claim it as income.

If this individual travels a lot (very likely), it doesn't take many flights and hotel stays to rack up a pretty sizeable tab.  Of course, I doubt he is travelling economy and staying in cheap motels...

There may be some "hospitality" stuff in there, too (dinners, etc), as well as covering the cost of renting facilities for meetings.

As mentioned, a list of those expenses would be helpful, but as also mentioned, this is a "hit" item, intended to show said individual in a bad light.

"Official Business" of that amount sounds "fishy" to me.   I started off my professional career as an auditor so maybe I'm too suspicous.   It certainly should be broken down in detail so the union members can see what they are paying for from their dues.

Understand you are wanting to show the above in the worst possible light.  However, browsing around among various Union officials among other organizations the Actual Salary being paid is in line with other organizations

Gross Salary: $193,517
Allowances: $0
Official Business: $217,513
Other Compensation: $5,405

Is the 'Official Business' the aggregation of his expense accounts for the year for which he is being reimbursed?  I have no idea what the 'Other Compensation' is for but less than $500 a month doesn't seem excessive.
