I had to go with Robert Jordan's great shot of that still-existing diner.  Carl Boyd's and Louis Letourneau's pics are well composed, but they're evocative of a world that doesn't exist anymore.

That great old diner DOES exist, and can still be enjoyed.  And SHOULD be enjoyed!  That's real Americana!  Lady Firestorm agrees.

Time may have not stood still in that 1926 Jerry O'Mahoney diner, but it's sure been slowed down quite a bit!

By the way, as diner afficionados we can tell you that if Frank's isn't the oldest diner in existance, it's certainly one of the oldest!

For those of you who are into diners, diner culture, and diner nostalgia in general here's some fun websites you may want to have a look at...

www.roadsidefans.com

www.dinerhunter.com

www.njdiners.com

That last one doesn't seem to be kept up to date, but it's fun just the same.

Had a hard time deciding between the elegance of Carl Boyd's and the 'Git 'r done" breakfast of Louis Letourneau's.

Nothing pictured conveys the smells of walking the aisleway past the kitchen to be seated in the diner.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
