Report abuse tab disabled?
Posted by ruderunner on Saturday, November 11, 2017 5:17 PM

in a recent thread I had had enough of a certain posters outright hostility towards another poster. I thought we had a report abuse tab or option but now that I wish to use it, I can't find it.

Am I imagineing that?  If so who do I contact to make a complaint?

I see a TINY little yellow triangle in the lower left corner of each posting... click it to get the "Report" page.

I still have the tab on my phone, and it still works when I click it.  It is the small yellow triangle with exclamation point inside.

It works on my computer as well.  I consider it the "nuclear option."

I haven't had the need to use it.  Yet.

Click the tiny yellow triangle at the lower left corner. Once you get to the Report Abuse page, help the moderator out. Tell him which forum, which thread, the time stamp of the post and the poster's name. This makes it quick and easy for them to work on the problem.

Oddly enough, the Report Abuse box has spellcheck.

Thanks to Chris / CopCarSS for my avatar.

Amazing - it has spell check but isn't keyed to the post that that originated the report?  Pure Klambach software logic!

As does the title box when one posts a new thread, as I recall.

Oh!  Interesting... I thought the report abuse page would automatically include some sort of link to the posting that the report icon was on when it was clicked.

Maybe that is why it seems that none of my reports are acted upon!
