Coal Rebounds:

http://dalkoresources.com/tag/coal-rebounds/

“From 2008 to 2016, West Virginia’s production of coal dropped from 117 million tons to 36.6 tons. The collapse was attributed to cheap natural gas, which became America’s dominant power plant fuel. Some of the nation’s largest mines were forced into bankruptcy.

Most mines are booming now running 6 shifts per week. The boom is being driven by three global forces…the Chinese have scaled back production, President Trump has enacted anti-regulatory policies, and investors have doubled the market value of publicly traded mines to $15 billion.

The mines are hiring and offering $1000.oo sign on bonus along with fully paid health insurance and raises again!”

And I would want to be someplace else when the price of natural gas goes down.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

I have the cam on freiquently during the day as I work and there were days when I did not see a coal train.  This last week, there were days when I have seen 3 or 4 coal trains.

My daughter moved locally yesterday in Indiana and one of the movers had a UK hat on.  In talking with him, I found out he moved from South East Kentucky 6 years ago as alot of mines closed and there were no jobs.

I believe NG prices are about as low as they are going to get with the glut that is in the market.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
