Maybe I've been reading TRAINS too long and appreciating the "old" issues, BUT, I miss the annual "Christmas" (December) presentation. The snowy scenes, "warm & cozy" accounts of holiday travel, and features depicting trains in a harsh, severe environments (cold temps and snowfall), all combined to lend a seasonal and nostalgic flavor to that particular issue. What happened? Don't tell me that to be politically correct, you folks had to add "Christmas" to a list of "verboten" subject matter! Christmas=travel=trains=home=hearth=pine trees=Lionel=trains. It's too late this year I see (just now got the VERY unseasonal Dec issue), but maybe next year? I'll even light a votive candle in front of a picture of St. DPM!
