How ironic! I tuned in just in time to see the forums favorite subject - a tanker unit train going by!
Now THAT'S what I"m talkin' 'bout. Full screen. Very good resolution. Thanks to whomever is responsible!
I just discovered it has SOUND!! SOUND!! Sweet Mother!! I am totally agog.
SJ, was your tank train on UP or BNSF? If UP, it was likely for ethanol, not crude oil.I saw the other thread first tonight, but I'll reiterate my first thought when I opened the page to see--and hear--a stack train headed east on UP: Wow!
Resolution--that's the word...I need would like a little more. I'll bet locomotive numbers would be visible in many cases if I could see clearly!

BC - BNSF headed up north. Actually I saw one on each - UP was later. That's why I put tanker unit train - it could have been hauling water for all I know.

Just observed something new on the webcam- eastbound UP mixed manifest on Track 2, relatively short (maybe 35-40 cars) with two spartan cabs for power. What was new was the fact that there were several cars being pushed AHEAD of the engines, and a crew member riding the first one. No horn warnings from this one...
