Railway Express Agency Truck
Here is another visitor to the museum for this special event...
Colorado and Southern Rotary #99201
After years of hiding across the street in the bushes, C&S Rotary Snow Plow #99201 is finally in a place to get decent photographs of as well.
UP #4455 & D&SL #10060
Something else Lisa and I pay attention too is equipment being moved around the yard which gives new photo opportunities. Here I catch Union Pacific Steam Engine #4455 with Denver and Salt Lake Caboose #10060 sitting in a new location.
"Stuff"
Something Lisa and I pay attention to anytime we go to the CRRM is noticing things in the yard that we don't remember being there before. In this case she spotted a "Box" that contains unknown stuff. She did not in a close up shot where the box came from.
D&RGW #318 Tender
... and would be remiss if I didn't at least include one Tender shot from D&RGW #318.
Agree the CRRM is a jewel! In early May we went on the first tour sponsored by the Museum. The tour included the V&T, California State RR Museum, Western Railroad Museum (trolleys), dinner train on Yolo short line, California Western at Fort Bragg and the Napa Wine train. This was a GREAT trip and I highly recommend going on any of their tours. Next year they plan to do Strasbourg and related sites. Hope to see you there.
D&RGW #50
Here is another shot of Denver & Rio Grande Western #50 from a different angle...
D&RGW #346
Here is another shot Lisa took of Denver & Rio Grande #346...
Lisa nearly missed Denver and Rio Grande Western #50 and in doing so ended up catching me in the shot taking video of the engines going by...
GC&SJ #4
Here is Golden City and San Juan as it too comes around the corner...
Galloping Goose #7
... and by the time Lisa got her shots of GC&SJ#3, RGS#7 is on top of her!!!
GC&SJ #3
Here you can see Golden City and San Juan #3 with RGS#7 and GS&SJ#4 is close pursuit. Now, think back when Lisa was standing outside the loop taking shots of the engines on the turntable with engines passing in front of you this close to each other. Which engine to photograph, such a wonderful dilemma!
Galloping Goose #6
Here comes Galloping Goose #6 curving around behind the Roundhouse...
Galloping Goose #2
Here is Rio Grande Southern #2 passing this location. Note, Lisa is on the outside of the loop so this set of photos show the other side of the engines.
Run-By Position #3
Lisa sets up at another location to catch the parade of engines from another perspective. Again we start with Denver & Rio Grande Western #346
Now some of you might recall this photo being posted before on TrainBoard: Weekend Protrotype Photo Challenge "Wives/Significant others" Ends July 13th
GC&SJ Speeder
... and bring up the rear is the speeder
Here you see Lisa catches Denver & Rio Grande Western #50 as it passes the tank...
Here is shot of GC&SJ#4 as it passed this location...
Rio Grande Southern Galloping Goose #7 passes next still doing passenger service
Golden City & San Juan Railroad #3
Here is shot of GC&SJ#3 as it passed this location...
Coming up behind RGS#2 is Rio Grande Southern Galloping Goose #6...
Coming up next is Rio Grande Southern Galloping Goose #2 . I wonder if there is still any long lost USPS Mail in the back end?
Run-By Position #2
Now in a new position along the loop Lisa takes several more shots of the Engine Parade and I've picked one of each... Here is Denver and Rio Grande Western #346 with D&RGW Caboose #10
D&RGW OB Pile Driver
As Lisa and I move to a different location we see a piece of equipment in the yard that is not normal and take a few shots. We learn it's just been moved here for work and also some "fun" that will be coming in another RRAdventures topic.
Cornelius W. Hauck Restoration Facility
Lisa will also catch one last shot of the 5 Stall Roundhouse from where she was positioned before changing locations for more photo opportunities. Lots of great work occurs in these walls as demonstrated by the days events.
The last engine Lisa will catch on the Turntable is Denver & Rio Grande Western #50
