I was playing a train dispather game of the BNSF from St. Croix to Aurora the other day and got to thinking if it was possible for me to get my hands on a schedule for that subdivision. I live in the Twin Cities and try to go down along the St Croix Subdivision when ever I can just because of the number of trains there are and great scenery. The only thing that made me think that there has to be a schedule for the line was by how precise the train dispatcher game schedule seemed compared to when I normally see trains on the line(Try to keep track). (I think it was a territory simulated by Fred Frailey.) Now I know a couple of people that work for Burlington Northern Santa Fe and one of them is even my Aunt so is it possible to get it through them or what. I know the schedule varies from day to day depending on grain rush, etc., but if there is just a place where I can download the schedule for the day or even a basic schedule would be nice. I don't know if this is possible or not, but i thought I might as well ask. Another question I have is I enjoy seeing trains and knowing where they came from and where they are going. I have a scanner so I always get to hear what the train is when the dispather is talking to them, but the dispatcher almost always uses a number to identify the train like (9744 or 3518) instead of the trains actual starting and ending points like(SBPATAC,MBRCNTW,ZCHCSSE,ETC.) Is there a chart you can get or buy that shows the conversions from what the trains ID Number is(9718) to what it's abbreviation is(SBPATAC). Thanks a lot for any help.
