<p><font size="3">I have recently read somewhere on here, a post about trains in England NOT being called "goods" trains, but Frieght trains. Well I am sorry but on BRITISH RAILWAYS AND latterly BRITISH RAIL they WERE called GOODS trains and only frieghtliner trains had the title frieght.</font></p><p><font size="3">I was a fireman on BRITISH RAILWAYS and a guard on BRITISH RAIL and I worked many goods trains both on the footplate and as a guard right up to the end of BR.</font></p><p><font size="3"></font></p><p><font size="3">It is like road transport, in England heavy GOODS vehicles are called LORRIES....in other parts of the world including the states they are called TRUCKS.</font></p><p><font size="3"></font></p><p><font size="3">We are here in ENGLAND and we do not use the American version of the English language.</font></p><p><font size="3">Goods trains are Goods trains and Lorries are Lorries.</font></p><p><font size="3"></font></p><p><font size="3">Camden.</font></p><p><font size="3"></font></p>
