Sequatchie Valley Railroad, still operating?

SQVR is operating into Kimball, TN. The track ends at MP11, and has been pulled beyond there. <br /> <br />The one big customer is Variform, which receives covered hoppers of plastic pellets. This plant is located directly adjacent to I-24 at the Kimball/Jasper exit. There is also another smaller plastics company there also. <br /> <br />Recently, a spur was built into a steel company just south of the interstate. I have seen a few flat cars there from time to time. <br /> <br />Track is in really bad shape. <br /> <br />There is a deadline of old locomotives in South Pittsburg, TN, including an old SR GP35 and a WP GP7. Both are hulks. <br /> <br />Mike
