DL&W

I believe stood for Delaware, Lackawanna and Western. My grandfather worked this line in his railroad days. Can anyone help me find information on its history.

The DL&W was better known as the Lackawanna Railroad. In 1960 it merged with the Erie Railroad to become Erie-Lackawanna. The Erie-Lackawanna later became part of Conrail. Here are some links that should be of use to in finding the information you want:
