Ex Conrail (straight) B23-7s

most of the ex-cr b23-7's have been retired by ns, due to their "run into the ground condition". some were sold to short lines and regionals, mining industries. the b36-7's that ns inherited were retired, or sent back to GE, from what i hear. ns has also put a large number of ex-cr gp38's and 38-2's into storage in altoona, and enola, pa. one of them, the ex-cr 7868 which has the special "philly division" paint scheme, is in storage in altoona awaiting disposition. but as far as the fleet of ex-cr b's go, get your pics now! (if you can). the gp15-1's are mostly assigined to areas east of harrisburg for yard and local duties, and various parts of the NS system. some were sold to LLPX, and HURON CENTRAL RAILWAY in canada. also ex-cr sw1001. #9402, which also had the "philly" paint was sold to AMTRAK by CSX., and is in new york
