I was at KC Union Station SAT 16 JUNE before the train left. There were many conflicting/confusing rumors as to the exact iteneray.

IN THEROY the train will leave ST.L. THU 21st or FRI 22nd of JUNE, time of day unknown (train time is anytime). It may or may not go through Jefferson City, MO.

It is supposed to spend one night in Kansas City, MO - whether that is at at the station or in a yard is unknown - before it is supposed to go to North Platte, NE the following day for an unknown amount of time and then head home to Cheyenne, WY.

If you talk to more than one of the crew members they each give a different story. This is not to badmouth anyone of them, but my guess they don't know exactly what route they're taking and when they're taking it until a dispatcher tells them.

Also, someone said it would be in Wichita, KS for Railroad Days. THERE IS NO SUCH EVENT IN WICHITA. Unless it's the 1st Annual but usually a town as small as Wichita gets exiceted over something like that and there's no excitment here.

I know the information is vague but I hope it helps a little.

P.S. - UP #3985 might also make a run to Denver, CO later in the year.
