H.R. 876/S. 1703 Short Line Infrastructure
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, December 4, 2003 10:54 AM
H.R 876 continues to generate support in Congress with 235 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives as of December 4th. Companion bill S. 1703 still has only 6 co-sponsors...

As a reminder this is the legislation to grant short line and regional railroads transferrable income tax credits of $10,000 per route mile per year over a five year period for infrastructure rehabilitation funding. If enacted the bill would be effective from 2004 to 2009 (tax years).

The battle continues. Up to 242 co-sponsors as we come towards the home stretch...
