I grew up in a small rural town. One of the country tricks was moving the outhouse back about 10 feet. Yes there were still a few around. Not much in use but still around. So the farmers would take to sitting in them at Halloween. Of course he had a little surprise for anyone attempting to turn the outhouse over. As time went on the kids learned to sneak up from behind the outhouse and then turn it over. With or without the farmer inside.

Another country trick ( BUT NOT FUNNY IN THE LEAST ) is setting a large round bale of hay on fire and rolling it downhill. This of course could have very undesirable consequences. At the least it is a loss of good hay and I am sure the cows didn't think it was funny.

One of the annual Halloween traditions where I grew up was stuffing a scarecrow and "hanging" it from the telephone lines in front of the general store.

Dan

My neighbor does the same thing with a large gorilla suit. lol It works.
