Does anyone know, what are gonna be some of the big users or customers of this new intermodal facility?
Also does anyone have any good websites or photos that show trains and trucks in action at this site? I assume its open now.
I have only seen aerial views, and personally have never been down in that area.
Thanks

Trains magazine has already run several good photos of the facility. Was that the Oct issue? I understand that some warehouses and food processing plants are planning on moving to the Rochelle area to take advantage of Global III
I went on the bus tours (and Metra excursion trains) in August when it was first opened. Global III is huge. Hard to see from any public access although there are a few places where you can safely park somewhat close, but security is VERY thorough and tight.

I understand that one of the two largest Eastern railroads is already starting to run dedicated trains to Global 3, and this will some truck interchange off the streets of Chicago, a very positive development . I hope both the Easterners do it soon. Dave Klepper

Its to hard to see from any public land. I was there trying to catch a glimpse about 2 weeks ago. It seemed like a lot of trains used the facility.
