Good Day All

So much has been going on that I have been busy and not getting into the diner here lately. I have not been sleeping well either.

Well here is the latest update on Duchess. The appointment was yesterday and the vet seemed to think she was doing some better and that was before he drew blood. When he did draw blood and got the results he was looking at about 3 or 4 things. One of the levels he monitors was still way to high for his machine to read and he said that was not good. Another item, in the blood, was still very high but at least this time it did give him a figure and he said that was a step in the right direction even though it was still very high. Another item he looked for was also still high but did give a reading this time. All in all, he said there was some improvement and was encouraged. He said she is not out of the woods yet but things are definately looking up. He said to continue with her meds and special $2 a can food and come back in 2 weeks. So far it has cost me about $250 bucks but she is still alive and alert so I think she may recover. We just have to get some better results on that one item, of course the other 2 readings are still high but hopefully will continue to come down.

We had one heck of a rain last night. Another one of those hit and miss but extremely heavy storms where it did hit. The rain and wind was so strong that one guy commented that is how it was during a hurricane. We tried to work the pits, which have a roof over them, but the wind was so strong it blew the rain into the pits and we all had to go iside. I am not sure of the rain amount but a lot of it was runoff because it was so heavy an amount while it did rain.

I have not had time to read any of the other posts so I hope all is well with everyone. It certainly is nice to have Willy stopping in to visit.

Everyone Take Care
