Well after getting an error message 5 times I finally get to the screen where I can post. [banghead]

We hit 103 again yesterday with the heat index reaching between 106 and 108 for my area. Parts of Arkansas were having 106 and 108 temps with heat index about 5 to 10 degrees above the air temp. [xx(] Two, within the state, have died because of the heat wave. There have been 3 deaths in Oklahoma also. One of the deaths was an elderly lady who could not afford to turn on the air conditioning. How Sad. [:(]

Today they are saying 103 again but then dropping down into the low 90s for the weekend. I certainly hope they are correct. Even with the air conditioning on I had trouble sleeping last night.

Zach is home from his trip. I have not talked much with him yet but hope to see some of his photos soon. Who knows, he might drop by here and share a link or two. [:)]

My grass is dead. Many of the trees are showing heat stress and such from lack of rain. Some trees have brown leaves already. And just think, around here it is August which is known as the hottest and dryest month. [8] I think we are in trouble. This is not good at all.

And if that isn't bad enough, today is my Monday. [B)] I have to go work in this heat. Some days working on the railroad isn't all it is cracked up to be.

Well I must go to the grocery store. I put it off yesterday because it was so hot, so I better go now while it is still in the low 90s.

Hey Kevin, I emailed you. Now I am looking for your reply. From Yellow Hat, Orange Vest in Arkansas. LOL
