This thread is both entertaining (Ed's story) and ironic. JUST this last weekend Ed chewed out a guy here in the forums. Ed, as we all know, does an excellent job of teaching us about his line of work and answering question from all of us. But he jumped out of his regular character and let this guy have it. The guy had stated that he had basically been hoboing since the 70s. He mentioned he likes certain types of locos (the DD40Xs for one) and had ridden on the locos and the crews never knew it. He made the mistake of accussing a train crew member of "smoking" and I imagine that was the straw that broke the camels back. Ed let him have it. I also noticed this guy made several posts this weekend. I think he comes and goes so who knows when he will be on next. After he reads Ed's post to him he might want to lay low for a while. I know I would. <br /> <br />I guess more of the railroaders will be finding their mirrors now. HUH ? I wonder if Ed found his yet? [:)] You know they used to advertise these glasses that had little mirrors in them so you could look behind you without turning your head. Wonder if they still have them? I bet sales to railroaders might be going up soon. [:D]
