Your idea is absurd. Federal land, Dave, belongs to every American. Not just the local, regional and state governments and developers that more often than not view it as a resource to be exploited. Besides, your proposal rejects two hundred years of Federalism and would be struck down in Federal court. But then, again, the concept of being an American ilo a Washingtonian, Oregonian or Idahoian may be foreign to you.
