Beech Grove Shops
Posted by rogerhensley on Monday, October 27, 2003 6:46 AM
Even before there was Amtrak, before there was CR or PC, there were the Beech Grove Shops...

I have just put up four photos of the Big Four Beech Grove Shops under construction 1904/5 and several more made in 1930 of various work groups in front of their shop. These and more are on the new 'Big Four memories photo album page. You can get to it by taking the Photo Album link on the Railroads of Madison County at:.http://madisonrails.railfan.net/

Thanks both of you! :-)

I try. But I have found that good information is very hard to come by.

There is a great deal of railroad interest in Roger's website and I would recommend it to everyone. I need to add it to favorites as there is too much to see for one visit. Nice job.

All of this started with a small 6 page flier I created and self published in 1995 with a few logo graphics and no photos. I can say that it has turned into a reference work much larger that I ever thought about in the beginning. It captures moments in history as well as current events. Thanks for the comment, Dave.
