Milepost 235 webcam ?'s
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, May 15, 2001 4:07 PM
I have a few questions in
regards to the Milepost 235 webcam: There is a railroad track in the foreground of the
"swing bridge" view and I am curious as to who owns this line and it's daily
train frequency because it doesn't appear to be part of the BNSF mainline.
What time does the Amtrak pass by the camera? There appears to two depots in
the cam, one is a preset view and the other is found by searching to the
right of the "railroad museum" view. Who owns both depots and what purpose
do each serve? Thanks in advance!

The old CB&Q is the track nearest the camera, runs between the 2 depots. The "right" depot is now the Fort Madison (Iowa) Art Center, the "left" depot is the Lee County Historical Museum.

The double track mainline is the BNSF Chicago-Texas-Los Angeles route.

Hey Guys, I'm having a helluva time trying to figure out which direction the camera is facing when the "swing bridge" is in the picture! Best I can figure out is we're heading EAST on HWY 2.
