Thanks to Ed and Trains for the beautiful picture on the home page. The Challenger 3985 will be in Omaha this weekend and I am going to miss it!

But I have Ed's picture to look at, which is almost as good. What a wonderful sight it is, too!

I have seen it. Even paid to ride as a passenger. I rode in the Columbine dome car. Up in the dome of course. I have a home made video of it. I also bought the tape of that ride called "UP 3985 THE TEXAS CHALLENGER" by S. G. Video Productions. The tape is 2 hours and 30 minutes long. It shows the train coming, skip to new location, it shows the train coming, skip to new location, it shows the train coming, skip to new location, it shows the train coming, skip to new location ... well anyway you get the idea. I have never been able to watch the whole thing from start to finish in one setting. It is not that the video is bad it is just too long with nothing but the train coming. Other videos tell a story and show interesting thing to do at the stops along the way. This one is just the train coming, the train coming, the train coming.
