Any articles in Trains about Alabama?

Can anyone remember if there have been any articles in Trains about railroads in Alabama, especially in or around Birmingham.
I asked a similar question to the Alabama Railroad Group, about modelling articles, and we had to go back to October 1991 in Model Railroader, for an excellent piece by G Warren Reed on the Frisco.
It would appear that there is very little published material available and no video material, that I can find. Since I live over the pond, in good old Blighty, I'm relying on reference material, rather than site visits.
Thanks,
Jon Grant

If I recall correctly there was a pretty decent article perhaps 3 or 4 years ago about the Alabama & Gulf Coast in TRAINS. I think this was shortly before it was taken over by Rail America. Had some nice views of their GP30s and industries in it as I recall. I think Bob Eisthen wrote it.

My suggestion is to scroll to the very top of any page at Trains.com and click the "Index of Magazines" link. That will take you to our index that includes the table of contents from all of our magazines (and most books) plus those from other rail-related magazine and book publishers. It's a great research tool.
Enjoy!

Thanks to the fellow above who remembered my Alabama & Gulf Coast piece. It's in the December 2001 Railfan & Railroad. Be forewarned that the GP30s are gone, replaced by RailGenerica's rent a wrecks.
There is a Birmingham Southern article in the February 1994 Trains.
