I would go with business casual. When I went to a hiring session the range was from some old geek in a 3 piece polyester suit from 1976 to guys in torn jeans and sneakers. Most, like me were in dockers and polo shirts or jeans and work boots. It is good to look decent for the interview which is usually the afternoon of that day or the next morning. Don't sweat it too much if you don't get hired that afternoon and have to interview the next day. I was local to my hiring session and was interviewed the next day along with two other guys. One was sent by the State unemployment office and could've cared less. We never saw him again. The other guy and I went to Trainman training together and we are good friends. He is the BLE local chairman these days...

I will probably go with black jeans and a polo shirt.
God, I hope they dont interview the "next" day..thats when my flight leaves.
Plus, they did say just plan on being there the whole day for the scheduled day.
Yep, I remember those polyester "leisure suits"...

ney, I wore dockers and a nice shirt. I would shy away from the workboots...etc. I think that the Uncle Pete does all of their business on the same day. Usually aptitude test in the morning, and interviews in the afternoon. They only invite so many (the ones that they are interested in) to an interview. My bud hired out with them and I don't think that he had an answer that day. Also, BNSF is supposed to be hiring 120 in K.C. One is advertised right now! BNSF.com check it out.

Thanks Ken, then dockers and polo is what I will wear, which is what I wear to work now anyway.
Man, I am so excited!
I never thought I would be invited to the hiring session.
The great thing is, I have 3 other locations I prefer over this one, in which my application is still under review.
It would be nice if I get an invite to those as well, as i actually prefer those cities than this one as they are closer to my home.
So do RR'rs actually own homes?
Or do they rent alot?
I dont have kids, which is a plus, but I have a wife who has a great job.
I would hate to ask her to quit and move just for me.
In fact, if I take a RR job she will then make more money than me!
