Spring is almost here in Georgia. You can tell because my wife's school system is doing a series of "severe weather drills" which look a lot like the old air raid duck and cover bits. These drills are for tornados. My wife says her school was supposed to have a drill yesterday, but it was cancelled due to....(wait for it, wait for it)...rain. A sure sign that the end times are near is that they had snow in northern Georgia last night. I know I moved down here from Connecticut for a reason... oh yeah, shoveling snow. Hate it. Oh, and I love biscuits and gravy. Chicken dumplin's, too. My wife, born and raised "suthin'" is working on the grits thing. She eats grits. The dogs eat grits. I fill potholes with the dang things. Speakin of speakin suthin, y'all ain't been properly fussed at till yew hear the words "Bless yore heart." As in, "Erik is one depty who ain't carryin all the cards in the deck, bless his heart." In her more reasonable moments at trackside, my wife will tell passersby "He's just fixin to waste some film on that there train, bless his pea pickin lil ol heart." I'd pitch a hissy fit but it knocks off mah focusin'. She's a good ol gal for a GRITS(girl raised in the south) who lost her head over a dangyankee, bless her heart. (Y'all are supposed to nod your heads wisely and pity the poor woman.) By the way, one of the best eatin spots in the south is the "Fried Green Tomatos" restaurant outside Birmingham, Alabama. They's plenty of trains a goin bah and the food is jest pure heaven on earth. Erik
