can any one tell me some backround when it was biult and retired and restored on this steam locomotive (527596) on sunday (german time) right know it is 4:30 in the afternoon here and i am going to ride this steamer from Überlingen to radafzel and back the american that is staying in germany for a year big boy

I can't give you a history, other than to say that the design of the 51 and 52 class 2-10-0's predates WW2. They were old and being retired when I was living in Germany in the late 60's.
