Hugh, I think you will find it was the loco, 91123 which has since been renumbered 91132 at the end of the Class 91 sequence to break the curse. <br /> <br />It was the same Western Region/FGW HST set 2nd class trailers that was involved in both the Southall and Ladbroke Grove accidents which involved passenger fatalities so the split the set but one of the trailers was involved at Ufton Nervet accident last year (bad, I had to work on that one) <br /> <br />Also, a British Rail Clas 47 was renumbered to 47299 after it was involved in several fatal accidents and it is said to have had a Gypsy's curse put on it.
