Spiking a switch

Kenneo, <br /> <br />Wouldn't you quickly wear a tie out if you removed a spike and ran through and then respiked the switch again? Was this a type of temporary measure or was it used for long term problems? Oh, and one more thing . . . what do you do when concrete ties are used, or are they not seen on switches? - The other Ed
