The Dixier Flagler was a streamllner from yesteryear which ran from Chicago to Miami. During certain winter seaons(1951, 52 and 53) it a carried a coffee shop lounge from CHI to JAK. Problem is, I cannot find that coffee shop listed in any kind of equipment book (David Randall, etc, etc) or in the inventory of any of the five railroads which participated in that train's operation. Does anybody have any idea what car ran as the so-called "Coffee Shop Lounge? I have been given some good leads, but does anybody know for sure?A car called "Turkey Run" from the Whipporwhil, and the two Maine Central restaurant lounge cars have been suggested. But can somebody tell me for sure?
