EMDs SD50S or SDL50 question ?

According to EMD, the units are SDL50's and have 645's inside. They were built in London, finished at VMV in Paducah, and are part of the 4th order of such units from the Saudis, the first back in the 1980's. L stands for lightweight. The blue box on the roof just behind the cab is part of a special air filtration system so they function in the desert. <br />Railroad65 is right. You can special order anything. I presume EMD built these 645's themselves, but you can buy a new aftermarket 645 from General Electric if you want. GE's product comes from Poland.
