They mistook me for someone important and I was in a VIP car with free drinks! At Derby, 43002, the first production car, was on display, still with its black window stripe which was replaced by Rail Blue before it entered service. So I have photos of the first three HST power cars with the same number series photographed on the same day! The first two both got departmental DB series numbers before 41001 went to the museum. They did mention the black window stripe on the first production power car though. Nice going in getting into the VIP car by the way!
