Who cares if passenger rail disappears ?

The Europeans don't have free interstate highways, they have what we call turnpikes. Therefore they pay to drive down a controlled access highway. In most of America, we don't. <br /> <br />As far as density is concerned, America east of the Mississippi River will catch up to the density in Europe in twenty to thirty years. America is still growing in population, whereas there isn't much of an increase in population in Europe.
