Back in the dark ages (1966-1970) I lived in Brea and was familiar with the old Pacific Electric line that ran from Whitter to Yorba Linda. Southern Pacific operated the line as a freight service and for part of the way (Whittier to La Habra) the ROW had both UP and SP tracks. The main industry on the line was the Union Oil owned Pico Graphite plant in Brea or Placentia. The PE had a branch going south to Fullerton, however this was gone by the time I lived there. You could still see the abutments for a couple of bridges along the line. My question is what is the current status of both the UP ans SP (PE) lines today? How much has been abandoned, etc?

Thanks
