I did the trestle walk as a teen. You know how teens are, alot of energy and not much fear. The trestles and cattle guards must be based on the same principle except the cattle are smart enough not to cross them. This exteen wasn't. I did it during daylight hours. Thank God no train. There was one or two spots built in for put-put cars and/or people and I really kept an eye on them so I would know which direction to run if I had to. You know when you are high up the worst thing you can do is look down but when crossing a trestle you have to. This one didn't have any side rails to hold onto. It was flat as a pancake. And as I walked I had to look down to get step spacing right, and with no ballast bewteen the ties oh boooooooyyyyyy. You talk about getting dizzy. SO I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WALK ACROSS A TRESTLE.
