Ho Scale Locomotive Light Question.

You Modelers know this more than me. On the HO Athearn BB box GP38-2 Locomotives,How well do the Head lights work on these Locomotives? Do they burn out quickly or do they last along time. Allan.

Yep that seems to be the big issue on here, I think we should be hospitable to all our displaced MR Forum friends. At least they want to stay on Trains.com and not move to other sites.


Allan, I don't personally have one, but I have heard that they last quite a long while, but its one of those thinkgs that probably depends on the particular part.

what happend to the MR forums, i went their and it's all locked up! why?
derailment? what derailment? All reports of derailments are lies. Their are no derailments within a hundreed miles of here.

The headlights on the BB gp38's last a long time, but they light up according to the amount of power you give them from the power pack. So the only way to get them bright enough to really see ,they have to be running at about 200smph.
