Chad,

I haven't been north of Reno for some time, as I understand it the cars are still gone from the north end of the Reno branch. There was a red flag at Bordertown the last time I was out that way. The Reno branch from the junction at the "Overland Route" in downtown Reno to the Leareno industrial lead at Stead is used everyday but Sunday. The Reno local is called out of Sparks Monday through Saturday at 9:00 AM - however it can run late, I've seen it leave Sparks as late as 12:00 noon.

The other two locals calling Sparks home is the Lovelock Turn and the Wabuska local. The Lovelock Turn is called at 7:00 AM at Sparks Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It travels to Lovelock and then back to Hazen and a trip out to Fallon. Here it spends the night and returns to Sparks from Fallon on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The Wabuska Local is a 6 day a week job, Monday through Saturday, not sure of its start time, maybe around 8:00 AM, I've seen it leave Sparks as late as 11:00 AM. It only runs to Wabuska as needed. If there is to be a job to Thorne its called as an extra. I haven't been to Wabuska for a number of years.

The BNSF Fernley local is called out of Sparks 5 to 6 days a week, but not on Sunday, at 9:00 AM. The units are parked down in the 800 - 900 block of East Glendale by the new wye by Summit Racing.

Hope this answers some of your questions. If you ever get up this way let me know, would enjoy showing you around.
