I don't think the boy deserved to die, but certainly he knew what he was doing. If the fence had indeed deliberately been slashed by him and his friends, there could have been no way they didn't know that they were about to embark on an illegal trespass and violative act, lowering the worth of the CP's eqiupment.

This responsibility thing cuts both ways, I think. I he was old enough to be considered a man then he did indeed gamble (stupidly) with his life and lost.

If the poor wretch was still a boy, then where the deuce is a PARENT or parental figure at least??

A chain-link fence that has to be destroyed in order to enter a freight yard is hardly an "attractive nuisance" under the law.

This whole graffiti business is getting out of hand. I've just begun to assemble mini-photo albums with topics like Stacks and Steaks, Mainline, Fallen Flags and Faraway FIrms, and American Graffiti. I haven't completed any of the former books but I am already on volume 2 -- More American Graffiti! It is an outrage.
