I live a good 5 miles from the nearest tracks, but when the wind is blowing just right I can hear them all quite clearly. More of a background noise than anything else, but it's there none-the-less. <br /> <br />Most often I hear them in the evenings when I am working with the computer, never the less, they aren't loud enough to wake me from my sleep.
