don't forget: GE makes jet aircraft engines, Hydropower turbines, steam turbines and gear reduction sets for ships and powerplants, too. <br />And, just to get their fingers in another pie, 'projectile motion generators.' The A10 is built around one, IIRC. <br /> <br />Plus big transformers. They MIGHT still make the big power amplification vacuum tubes for television and radio transmission. . . but I think they got out of the semiconductor business. They're big in facilities leasing and banking these days. <br /> <br />then there's the whole Plastics side of GE, too. Lexan is one of theirs. <br /> <br />GE: the Microsoft of the industrial revolution. <br />
