don't forget: GE makes jet aircraft engines, Hydropower turbines, steam turbines and gear reduction sets for ships and powerplants, too. And, just to get their fingers in another pie, 'projectile motion generators.' The A10 is built around one, IIRC. Plus big transformers. They MIGHT still make the big power amplification vacuum tubes for television and radio transmission. . . but I think they got out of the semiconductor business. They're big in facilities leasing and banking these days. then there's the whole Plastics side of GE, too. Lexan is one of theirs. GE: the Microsoft of the industrial revolution.
