That's right. Spellcheck is no substitute for proofreading. A friend wrote a letter to the local newspaper praising his favorite political party for being ethnically diverse, but the editor keyboarding it into the paper's computer used "ethically " instead of "ethnically" which makes a difference. On another occasion a spell checker at the same newspaper turned pianist Murray Perahia into a "pariah." But I'll bet many of the poorest grammarians and spellers who frequent these forums more than make up for it with their model-building skills.
