Many rural, lightly used crossing are gettting gates. Why? Because if they fail the chances of being killed are a lot less. Costs the RRs big bucks if it's proven the gates failed. They would rather kill more people on the main tracks protected by crossbucks and pay the 1/2 million or whatever because the government pretty much has it fixed where they can KILL AT WILL. <br /> <br />All these little short slow trains need are a couple spot lights shineing backwards and half decent sight lines. I know, have like glow in the dark Ed siloutettes with the 8 inch thingy stuck on the forehead under a spot light. And Ed---You can't be a beacon if your light don't shine! <br />
