Mark- <br />Since the Milwaukee Road was built 2-3 decades after the GN and NP they had access to "modern" earth moving equipment and could have build a superior alignment. I have never inspected the northern lines, but from you comments abour operating expense it appears that their alignment was inferior. Could this be that all the "good" valleys were already occupied or what. Could you expand on their quality of ROW? <br /> <br />Thanks <br />***
