The Delaware River is reached from Binghamton by the Southern Tier Line by going over the mountain at Gulf Summit and follows the Delaware River east to Port Jervis. This is the route of the Erie Railroad main line and goes to New Jersey (mileposts are set to Jersey City) across the river (Hudson) from NYC. In the olden days ferries took passengers to NYC. No Philly involvement. <br /> <br />LC
