NF dispatcher had a bad day or two this weekend, and will have an interesting time over the next few weeks as the two washouts on the St Lawrence Sub are dealt with. Both are major, with a few hundred feet of track involved on each.

I might add - what hit NE Ohio was its own storm system and was not part of Tropical Depression Debby - although that storm system may have been blocked by Debby.

Northern NY got a double whammy. The system that hit Cleveland teamed up with Debby to dump prodigious amounts of rain in some areas. There was a lot of flooding - a railroad underpass near Canton, NY was filled up completely. Many roads were washed out or suffered damage. A friend was picking pieces of pavement out of his yard.
All the Adirondack (and Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern) suffered was some downed trees. Between Saturday and Sunday I was on the entire line (Utica - Tupper Lake) and saw no problems. A lot of streams were running pretty full, though.\
CSX is making great progress on the Adams washout - may see trains over it in a few days. Haven't gotten any reports on the Philadelphia washout.
Apparently the CSX St Lawrence Sub is back open for business. Probably some 10 MPH running for a bit, but I heard the DS on the scanner a few minutes ago.
