Hydrogen Power for trains and cars..

I have heard of hydrogen being stored within a solid material matrix, does anybody know of this? <br /> <br />I have also read that practical materials for the storage of hydrogen are difficult to find because hydrogen atoms are so small that they infiltrate any material over time and can make metals become brittle.
